The Pakistan Air Force has successfully conducted a flight test of the indigenously developed Taimoor Weapon System, marking a significant advancement in Pakistan’s aerospace and defence capabilities.
According to a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations on Saturday, the Taimoor air-launched cruise missile can engage both land and sea targets with high precision at a range of up to 600 kilometres. The missile carries a conventional warhead and is designed to deliver accurate strikes against a wide spectrum of targets.
The Taimoor missile uses an advanced navigation and guidance system that allows it to fly at very low altitudes. This capability enables it to evade enemy radar, air defence, and missile interception systems, enhancing its survivability in contested environments.
ISPR stated that the missile’s precision-strike capability significantly strengthens the Pakistan Air Force’s conventional deterrence and operational flexibility. The test also highlights the growing technical maturity, innovation, and self-reliance of Pakistan’s defence industry.
