General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the outgoing Chief of Army Staff (COAS), held separate farewell meetings with President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.
General Qamar Javed, Pakistan’s sixteenth Chief of Army Staff (COAS), will retire on November 29. General Asim Munir will replace him.
The prime minister wished Gen. Bajwa well, and the army head thanked Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister.
General Bajwa arrived at the Presidency to bid farewell to Dr. Arif Alvi before proceeding to PM House to meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The prime minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, lauded the top general’s devotion to Pakistan and its inhabitants. In addition, he conveyed his warmest wishes to General Bajwa.
