Incensed Citizens thrashed in bandits in different areas of Karachi, killing at least one, while police killed one suspect in crossfire in Lyariarea.
Police sources say that two bandits engaged in robbing a shop in Karimabad area were seized and beaten by the public. One of them succumbed to his injuries while the remaining survivor was handed over to the police.
In a similar incident in Shadman Town, citizens beat two dacoits who were caught red handed while robbing a man. The dacoits were robbing the man of his valuables when people seized them and beat the culprits.
On the other hand, rangers on a tip off raided a house in Darya Abad area of Lyari Town to arrest a suspected target killer. The suspect opened fire on the rangers personnel but was killed in retaliatory fire by them.
Rangers spokesperson maintained that the murdered suspect was a target killer involved in killing nine people.
