On August 13, 2025, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan announced the Omani Program for Cultural and Scientific Cooperation, which offers fully funded undergraduate scholarships for Pakistani nationals.
The scholarships support Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering, Humanities, IT, and Sciences (excluding Medicine) at selected private universities in Oman. This initiative aims to strengthen academic and cultural ties between Pakistan and Oman. The program offers:
- 100% Tuition Fee Waiver: Covers all academic costs.
- Monthly Stipend: OMR 200 (without housing) or OMR 140 (with free housing).
- Round-Trip Air Ticket: One per academic year.
- Flexible Choices: Option to select up to three universities and two majors.
These benefits ease financial burdens, enabling students to focus on their studies. To qualify, applicants must:
- Be Pakistani nationals.
- Have completed Intermediate or equivalent (Grade 12) within the last three years.
- Be 23 years or younger at the time of application.
- Be medically fit.
- Obtain an Equivalency Certificate from Oman’s Ministry of Education (qualifications@moe.com).
Applicants need:
- Valid passport.
- Intermediate Certificate or equivalent.
- Omani Equivalency Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency results (if available).
