New Zealand won the second T20I on Monday, chasing down Pakistan’s total of 137 runs in just 13.1 overs in Dunedin.
Tim Seifert led the charge with a powerful innings, scoring 45 runs off 22 balls, while Finn Allen contributed 38 runs off 16 balls. Mitchell Hay and Michael Bracewell remained unbeaten, helping to seal the victory.
Pakistan made a strong comeback with their bowling attack, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf. Rauf took two wickets, while Khushdil Shah added one more to the tally. Wickets fell at 66, 87, 91, 97, and 132 runs. However, New Zealand’s aggressive batting ultimately prevailed. This T20I match between New Zealand and Pakistan highlighted the determination of both teams.

Rain cut the match to 15 overs. Pakistan batted first and struggled. They posted 135 runs. Hassan Nawaz scored zero. Mohammad Haris and Irfan Khan each made 11. Khushdil Shah got 2, Jahandad Khan 0. Salman Agha’s 46 and Shadab Khan’s 26 lifted them. Shaheen Afridi’s late 22 helped, too.
New Zealand’s attack was sharp. Ish Sodhi, Jacob Duffy, Ben Sears, James Neesham, and Michael Bracewell each took two wickets. They kept Pakistan in check. A wet outfield delayed play, but the bowlers adapted fast. Their effort set up the chase perfectly.
