Gas leakage explosion at the mosque in Qamar Khel, area of Nowshera today, injured at least five worshippers including the Imam.
According to the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), blast occurred due to a gas leakage from a plastic pipe and damaged the structure of the mosque.
The residents shifted the injured to the hospital and controlled the fire before the fire tenders could rush to the scene.
Station House Officer (SHO) Azakhail Jail Police Station stated that the explosion took place 10 minutes before the Fajar prayer. And had it happened during Fajar prayers, then the casualties would have been higher.
