A Nostradamus prediction about the Iran war is resurfacing online as the US-Israel conflict with Iran escalates, prompting renewed debate over whether the 16th-century astrologer’s cryptic writings can be linked to modern events.
Supporters of Nostradamus point to passages from his 1555 book Les Propheties and argue that the vague language could apply to current warfare and regional instability. Critics, however, note that the texts are often open to interpretation and frequently retrofitted to match headlines.
Nostradamus’s Prediction About the Iran War: The Passages Going Viral
One excerpt being shared widely reads: “The great swarm of bees will arise … by night the ambush.” Followers who attempt to decode Nostradamus’ language claim it references drone warfare, with the “swarm” interpreted as unmanned aerial attacks.
Another passage circulating online says: “Seven months of great war, people dead through evil / Rouen, Evreux, the King will not fail.” Some believers argue this suggests the current conflict could drag on for seven months.
That interpretation has gained traction alongside competing claims about the war’s timeline. The source text references President Donald Trump saying the war could last no more than four weeks, while also citing a Politico report that US Central Command (CENTCOM) requested additional intelligence support for at least 100 days.

Nostradamus enthusiasts have also highlighted a third line: “the rise of three fires from the eastern sides, while the West loses its light in silence.” Some interpret this as a shift away from a US-dominated order and the rise of major powers from the East.

The passage is also being linked in the source to commentary from a “Predictive History Professor Jiang,” who claims the war would reshape the global order and that the US would lose to Iran.
