Former Pakistani actress Noor Bukhari recently admired Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, commenting on her appearance in a police uniform during a lady constable’s passing out ceremony. The photos from the event circulated widely on social media, sparking various reactions.
While some criticized the Chief Minister for donning a police uniform, others, including television host Madeeha Naqvi, offered praise. Naqvi shared her thoughts via an Instagram story: “You can think whatever you want about me, but it’s true, I have never seen such a lovely Chief Minister.”
Echoing this sentiment, Noor Bukhari added her perspective, remarking, “Maryam Nawaz Sharif is truly beautiful in real life; the camera does not do justice to her beauty; Allah has made Maryam Nawaz very beautiful.”

Conversely, the incident drew criticism from PTI leader Yasmin Rashid, who argued that wearing a police uniform without being a force member constitutes an offence under the law. Rashid called for legal action against Maryam Nawaz and held the IG of Punjab accountable for the oversight.
