Nintendo will launch the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, a next-generation console that combines portable and home gaming with advanced features.

Nintendo Switch 2 is priced at $449.99 in the U.S. This system introduces Joy-Con 2 controllers that double as precision mice for select games, revolutionizing how players interact with their favourite titles.

The Nintendo Switch 2 builds on its predecessor’s success. It boasts a larger, vibrant full HD screen, boosted processing power, and faster load times, which deliver smoother visuals and richer details. The console supports new Switch 2 exclusives and many existing Nintendo Switch games, ensuring a robust library from day one.

GameChat: Connect and Play

A highlight of the Nintendo Switch 2 is GameChat, a feature that redefines social gaming. Up to 12 players can voice chat during gameplay, while video chat supports groups of four. GameChat is free until March 2026, and then a Nintendo Switch Online subscription will be required. Plus, new accessibility options make gaming welcoming for everyone.

Launch titles include Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and enhanced classics like Super Mario Party Jamboree. Big third-party hits like Elden Ring, Madden NFL, and Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition also join the lineup, alongside fresh experiences like Drag x Drive and Kirby Air Riders.
