New Zealand were all out for 271 in their first innings on day two of the second Test against Pakistan in Hamilton on Thursday.
After going to tea at 166-8, New Zealand lost their last two wickets for five runs in 16 deliveries after the resumption.
BJ Watling was left not out 49.
