Elon Musk announced that Neuralink’s first human patient, implanted with a brain chip, can now control a computer mouse with their thoughts, showing complete recovery.
Musk highlighted the patient’s ability to navigate a computer without physical interaction during a social media event. He mentioned Neuralink’s effort to enhance the patient’s ability to click a mouse button. The company, however, has not commented on requests for more information.

Following regulatory approval, Neuralink achieved its milestone of implanting a brain-computer interface in a patient, aiming to enable thought-based computer navigation. Musk envisions Neuralink’s technology addressing various conditions, emphasizing the potential for rapid, transformative treatments.
Despite a valuation of $5 billion, Neuralink faces scrutiny over safety and regulatory compliance. It was recently fined for hazardous material transportation violations.
