Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was given a briefing by National Command Authority (NCA) authorities in Islamabad over national security matters.
According to a Prime Minster house spokesperson, the Prime Minister (PM) presided the NCA meeting where he was briefed over strategic and nuclear assets of the country in the high-level meeting at Joint Staff Headquarters.
The meeting discussed various matters pertaining to national security and defence, including the recent tension between Pakistan and India, reports said.
PM House spokesman further added that the meeting was attended by, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Raheel Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Rashad Mahmoud, Federal Ministers Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Ishaq Dar and Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz
