Navjot Singh Sidhu, the former cricketer and politician, revealed why he departed from Kapil Sharma’s popular talk show during an interview with The Grain Talk Show on YouTube.
In 2019, Archana Puran Singh replaced Sidhu. Sidhu explained, “There were political reasons I didn’t want to discuss. There were other reasons… and the bouquet fell apart.” His exit had sparked speculation that he was asked to leave after his comments on the Pulwama terror attack.
Praising Kapil Sharma, Sidhu reflected on the show’s success, describing it as “a bouquet made by god.” He recalled how the show’s ensemble was formed seamlessly following his stint on Bigg Boss. “Everyone was chosen to be a part of that show,” he added.
He also recounted a period when Kapil faced significant personal and professional challenges, yet Sidhu remained confident in the comedian’s abilities. “People said Kapil was finished. I always knew he was unmatched, a genius. You can’t replace that kind of talent,” he affirmed.

Sidhu desired a reunion with the show’s original cast: “I wish the original bouquet would come together again. I will be the first to facilitate. Kapil’s current show is still doing very well.” He fondly remembered other cast members, including Ali Asgar as Dadi, and mentioned Sunil Grover, who played Gutthi, had recently reunited with him.
The upcoming episode of “The Great Indian Kapil Show” on Netflix, streaming on November 16, will feature Sidhu alongside his wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and his wife, model-actress Geeta Basra.
