On June 9, 2025, Netflix announced that former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu will return for The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3, premiering June 21 at 8 PM.
The announcement made through Netflix India’s Instagram brings together host Kapil Sharma and co-star Archana Puran Singh, much to the delight of fans of the comedy talk show.
Sidhu, who appeared on Sharma’s earlier shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show, described his return as “coming home again” in a Netflix statement. “The love of fans brought me back,” he said, promising laughter and shayari. Replaced by Archana Puran Singh in 2019 due to political controversies, Sidhu’s comeback and her fulfilling audience demand for their iconic banter.

Kapil Sharma echoed the excitement, saying, “Sidhu paaji and Archana ji will triple the jokes and masti this season.” The show, known for its sketch comedy and celebrity guests, features Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda, ensuring a vibrant lineup.
The announcement sparked joy with fans posting, “Sidhu’s shayari is back!” The franchise, launched in 2013, has grown into a global hit on Netflix, with Season 2 reaching 12 million views in India. Season 3 aims to capitalise on this, blending humour with cultural appeal.
Despite mixed reviews for earlier seasons, the Sidhu-Sharma reunion is a strategic move to boost viewership.
