Nausheen Masud, Renowned Pakistani Actor and Producer, Passes Away

Pakistani cinema and television are mourning the loss of one of their brightest stars, Nausheen Masud. The acclaimed actor and producer passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer, leaving behind a rich legacy in the entertainment industry.

Nausheen Masud was more than just a familiar face on television; she was a dynamic force in the Pakistani entertainment industry. Her diverse roles as an actor, producer, writer, and host made her a household name nationwide. Her performances in popular dramas such as “Jaal,” “Colony 52,” “Gher Tau Aakhir Apna Hai,” and “Dolly Ki Ayegi Barat” resonated deeply with Pakistani audiences, etching her memory in the national consciousness.

Apart from her acting prowess, Masud was known for her directorial skills in music videos. She worked with some of the biggest names in the Pakistani music industry, including Shahzad Roy, Junaid Jamshed, Aamir Zaki, Jawad Ahmed, and the renowned band Junoon. Her contributions to music and drama showcased her versatile talent and passion for the arts.

Heartfelt Tributes from Loved Ones and Colleagues

The news of her demise was shared by her ex-husband, Tariq Quraishi, in a poignant Facebook post. He highlighted her deep love for their two sons, who were the light of her life. The post also reflected on the strong bond they shared despite their separation.

Renowned actor Adnan Siddiqui took to social media to pay his respects to Masud, whom he described as a dear friend with a “beautiful soul.” He fondly remembered the moments they shared on and off camera, acknowledging her warm personality and stylish presence that added magic to every moment.

Geo News anchor Shahzad Iqbal expressed his grief over Masud’s passing, sharing how she played a pivotal role in his career by giving him his first break in the industry. He reminisced about his admiration for her work as a VJ in the mid-90s and how fate brought them together when he started his career.
