Namaz-e-Istisqaa, a special prayer for rain, was observed across Pakistan last Friday to respond to the persistent smog affecting large areas of the country.
Following the regular Friday prayers, the historic Badshahi Mosque hosted this special prayer, led by Khatib Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. Many worshippers gathered, united in their pleas for rain to mitigate the smog and improve the air quality.
The Prime Minister’s directives facilitated the organization of Namaz-e-Istisqaa at the Kohsar Block in the federal capital. Special prayers were conducted, and authorities at both federal and provincial levels were instructed to organize similar gatherings nationwide.
