The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched the Pak ID mobile app to enable citizens to apply for their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and Family Registration Certificate (FRC) online, bypassing physical visits to NADRA centres.

With the Pak ID mobile app, NADRA has streamlined the application process for identity documents. Applicants can now upload photos, verify fingerprints, and conveniently pay through the app. Once the process is completed, the ID documents, including CNICs and FRCs, are delivered directly to the applicant’s doorstep. This service saves time and significantly reduces the hassle of waiting in long queues at NADRA centres.

Expansion of Services and NADRA Smart ID Card Update

The NADRA spokesperson highlighted that the app’s services are not limited to local citizens. Even overseas Pakistanis can now apply for their CNICs online. This expansion of services indicates NADRA’s commitment to catering to the needs of Pakistanis, regardless of their location.

In addition to the app’s launch, NADRA recently updated its fee structure in December for the renewal of smart ID cards. The NADRA smart card is an advanced version of the traditional national identity card, incorporating a chip that stores essential information and provides an extra layer of biometric security. This update aims to enhance the security features of identity cards and safeguard personal information more effectively.

For more information on the updated fees for NADRA smart ID cards and other services, readers are encouraged to visit the official NADRA website or follow their latest announcements.
