The body of a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officer was found in a guest house under mysterious circumstances.
Police confirmed that the deceased, identified as Waqas Ahmed, a Grade-19 officer, was found in a guest house located in Sector G-6/4 of the city, falling under the jurisdiction of the Aabpara Police Station.
The body was discovered after authorities had to break open the room’s door. It has been taken into custody and transported to the hospital for a postmortem examination.
The exact cause of death will be determined through the postmortem report, which is awaited. As of now, the deceased’s family has not submitted a formal written request to the police for further investigation.
Sources revealed that Ahmed was originally from Lahore and had previously served as the investigating officer in the Ogra case. Following his sudden and unexplained death, investigations are being conducted from various angles to uncover the true circumstances surrounding his passing.
