Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan urged Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to let people vote freely in by-elections of NA-246, Karachi.

PTI Chief addressing to a press conference on Saturday said that PTI party make all efforts to win the by-election to be held on April 23.

Khan further added that there was more pressure on the commission now due to judicial commission and ECP has big responsibility not to conduct polls like it did in 2013.

Khan warned “We will go to the Election Commission if ghost polling stations are set up in the constituency,”

“The NA-246 election is very crucial for the future of Pakistan as whatever happens in Karachi affects the whole country. Karachi generates 70 percent of the country’s revenue,” he noted.

Khan said that he would invite cricket legend Javed Miandad in Sunday’s rally.

Khan reiterate that Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has refused to withdraw its candidate in support of PTI and wants to participate in the elections.

“There was a time when all movements would start from Karachi. PTI wants to bring Karachi into national mainstream again,” he said.

The PTI chief called for the need to end politics of ethnicity and hatred.

He congratulated his candidate Imran Ismail for standing firm despite a series of clashes and threats during the campaign.
