The mysterious multiple homicide case of three children in Karachi’s Orange slum areas has finally been resolved after the accused confessed to killing the minors.
The bodies of siblings Hina and Nimra, and their cousin Ali were found from a house in Orangi town on Tuesday evening.
In a grisly confession made to the police on Wednesday, 18-year old Hasnain accepted that he had killed the three children at a house at sector 10, Orangi Town because “they made fun of him”.
The children were alone in the house when Hasnain strangled them to death, and then stole Rs400,000 from the house, and fled.
Hasnain was employee of Aqsa and Nimra’s father who runs a catering business.
Eight-year-old Aqsa and 10-year-old Nimra, daughters of Sharifuddin, and their four-year-old cousin, Ali, son of Anwar, were strangled to death in their house in a building in Sector 10, SHO Sabir Khattak of Mominabad Police Station said.
Sharifuddin, who runs a Pakwan centre on the ground floor of the building, learnt of the children’s deaths after one of his employees visited the house and found the bodies.
Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal took notice of the gruesome murders and ordered SSP West Capt (retd) Ghulam Azfar Mahesar to conduct an inquiry and arrest the culprits.
