Musharraf was given safe exit with consent of all political leaders under a deal with establishment: Gilani

While addressing a pressing conference at Bilawal House on Friday, former prime minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani disclosed that a deal was agreed between the political leaders (including PMLN) and ‘establishment’ under which former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf was  given a safe exit following his resignation as President.

He further said that “The present attitude of N-League on the issue of former President is inappropriate”

He ruled out persuading a president in uniform to tender resignation in the absence of ‘establishment’s consent’.

Yusuf Raza Gilani further said that Nawaz Sharif himself had led anti-government public rallies in the past and warned of opposition in case any undemocratic action is taken.
