Multan: A man who had been subjected to an acid attack by a woman for not marrying her, passed away on Tuesday at Nishtar hospital.
Sadaqat had been brought in to the Nishtar Hospital on June 16 after the woman he had been allegedly been having an affair with, Shamim, allegedly threw acid over his face for refusing to marry her. The incident had taken place in the suburban area of Makhdoom Rasheed.
Sadaqat, the victim of the acid attack, was being treated at Nishtar Hospital’s Burn Unit.
Shamim had confessed to throwing acid at Sadaqat’s face as he had refused to marry her. According to reports, Shamim was a mother of four who was married and was having an affair with Sadaqat. Upon his refusal to marry her, Shamim threw acid onto his face in a fit of rage.
