KARACHI: The Rabitta Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Sunday reacted to the statements of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, saying he should now abandon the practice of using ‘provocative language’ and come out of ‘Altaf Hussain phobia’.
In a statement, the MQM Rabbitta Committee said in fact Imran Khan is seeing PTI’s defeat in the upcoming by election in NA-246 constituency. “And it is in this context that Imran Khan and other PTI leaders are trying to find an escape with the help of leveling allegations,” it said.
The MQM said as far as Imran Khan’s wish to file a case against Altaf Hussain is concerned, he is at liberty to lodge it wherever he wants. He tried this in the past too and, if he so wants, he may go ahead and fulfill his wish one more time.
“Insha-Allah, just like in the past, Imran Khan will have to face a similar defeat this time as well,” the Rabitta Committee said.
It said Imran Khan must tell the nation one thing; how come he is now talking about going back to the assembly that he had been labeling, until a few months back, as fake and fraud?
“Is this his (Imran’s) politics of deception and hypocrisy which embodies the ‘change’ that he always promoted and with which he has been fooling the nation and the youth?” the Committee asked.
