The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) condemned the filing of a case against Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahir-ul-Qadri and the large-scale roundup of PAT workers.
Earlier a little after the midnight, a five-member MQM delegation headed by Mian Atiq-ur-Rehman, the member of the party’s Coordination Committee, reached the residence of Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri and had negotiations with him over the recent turmoil.
Talking to media following the meeting, Mian Atiq asserted that the protest was the right of every citizen of Pakistan, adding mass roundup and arrests of the PAT workers, would further aggravate the matters.
