Irum Azeem Farooque, member of Sindh Assembly belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), announced her resignation following Altaf Hussain’s speech that led to attacks on media offices in Karachi.
In a statement on Twitter, Irum said she felt embarrassed to watch the videos of MQM workers ransacking ARY News office and clashing with police.
Irum wrote on Twitter “Today I resign. Already did it two days ago but didn’t disclose Bec. of the Hunger strike. After watching the videos, I feel very embarrassed,”
