Former parliamentarian and Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Shoaib Bukhari passed away at the age of 72 on Tuesday.
MQM spokesperson Aminul Haque, speaking to while local news channel said Bukhari had been suffering from multiple ailments and was admitted to Ziauddin Hospital in Karachi after his health deteriorated in March this year. “Being a senior lawyer, he dealt with legal issues and matters of the party,”
Haq said that the deceased stuck with the party through thick and thin. He added that the deceased started his political career from Karachi’s Liaquatabad area.
His funeral prayers will be offered on Tuesday evening after Isha prayers in Liaquatabad area.
Bukhari served as a member of the party’s legal aid committee and a member of the Rabita Committee.
