Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain, earlier today apologised for harsh remarks he uttered against law-enforcing agencies.
“I had no intension to hurt anybody’s feelings, but despite that, if my words have offended any person of any institution, I apologise for it. I hold nation institutions in high esteem,” said the MQM chief in a statement from London, referring to his last couple of speeches.
The MQM chief on Sunday criticized country’s security agencies following emergence of a report prepared by Joint Investigation Team (JIT) claiming that his party was behind 2012 factory inferno in Karachi’s Baldia Town that killed nearly 260 people.
MQM denies the report, demanding death sentence for the culprit involved in the incident.
