The Sindh Assembly members belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were allotted opposition benches in the house, three weeks after parting ways with PPP-led provincial government.
In today’s Sindh Assembly session, reports said, the Speaker, Agha Siraj Durrani announced the change in the status of the MQM lawmakers’ seating arrangements.
The seats were allotted to MQM following a request from the party that pulled its two ministers from provincial cabinet and three advisors from Chief Minister’s team.
MQM is yet to announce its Leader of the Opposition in the house.
This was in response PPP patron-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto’s public criticism against the party founder Altaf Hussain; where after MQM decided to part ways with Sindh government.
