On Saturday Sami-ul-Haq while briefing media after attending a meeting with Federal Minister for Interior Ch Nisar Ali Khan said “the Govt. was considering to release more non-militant Taliban prisoners and the talks between the Govt. and Taliban have finally started progressing in an improving atmosphere of mutual trust”.
He further stated that “The goal we are after is not an easy one to achieve and the path towards peace is riddled with difficulties”
Moulana Sami-ul-Haq also disclosed that regardless of a mutual wish for peace, both the sides were also under a lot of pressure.
