The Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met Office) has officially announced the end of the 2025 monsoon season, and hot, dry conditions are forecast across the country.

Most regions, including flood-affected areas in Punjab and Sindh, are set to experience dry weather in the coming week. Nights will remain cool in the upper northern areas, while daytime temperatures in the plains are projected to rise.

Today is expected to be hot and dry in most areas. Afternoon cloud formation may occur in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and hill stations. Coastal regions will see partly cloudy skies.

Punjab’s Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) confirmed the end of the monsoon. Director Irfan Ali Kathia assured that this week holds no significant rain events. Floodwaters are receding steadily. However, the recent floods had a devastating impact. They damaged 4,755 villages across 28 districts, caused over 123 fatalities, and affected more than 4.5 million residents.

The end of the monsoon will aid recovery and cleanup operations. Dry conditions help water recede. Nonetheless, the forecasted heat will pose additional challenges for affected communities. Continued support and assistance are critical during the recovery phase. With Monsoon 2025 now over in Pakistan, authorities urge citizens in flood-hit zones to stay informed, stay safe, and monitor official weather updates.
