The owner of Monal Restaurant Islamabad announced the closure on September 11, which will affect 700 employees.
The owner of Monal Restaurant in Islamabad has issued a notice informing 700 employees of the establishment’s impending closure. The heartfelt letter articulates the owner’s deep regret over the decision and describes it as one of the most painful experiences of his life.
In the letter, the owner expresses his sorrow, likening the separation from his employees to a father parting from his children. He reflects on the journey since 2006, noting their collective contributions to promoting Pakistan’s development, reputation, and hospitality on an international scale. He emphasizes that the team’s efforts have historically impacted and will be remembered as such.
Regrettably, he announces that following a recent Supreme Court decision, Monal Restaurant will permanently close on September 11, 2024. This closure will, unfortunately, lead to significant unemployment and economic challenges for the staff. Despite his desire to provide alternative employment for the affected employees, the owner cites current economic conditions as a barrier to fulfilling this need and encourages his staff to seek other employment opportunities.
