Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was named the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Player of the Year, becoming the first player to win the prestigious award three times. The 33-year-old Egyptian, who also won in 2018 and 2022, led Liverpool to the Premier League title last season with 29 goals and 18 assists.
Salah’s 2024-25 season was exceptional, earning him the Premier League Player of the Season, Golden Boot, and Playmaker awards, a historic first for a single player in one season. His performance helped Liverpool finish 10 points ahead of Arsenal. Salah, who joined Liverpool in 2017, signed a two-year contract extension in April 2025, quashing rumours of a move to the Saudi Pro League. He topped a six-man PFA shortlist, voted by members of the 92 Premier League and Football League teams, including Alexis Mac Allister, Alexander Isak, Bruno Fernandes, Declan Rice, and Cole Palmer.
