Mobile phone imports increased by 5.78 per cent to $166 million during the first three months of this fiscal year from $156.926m a year earlier, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said.
On a month-on-month basis, the imports fell by 24pc to $50.839m in September this year compared to $66.8m August. The figure declined by 11pc in September 2014 compared to $57.1m in the same month of last year.
Overall telecom imports increased by 31pc to $406.831m during July-September quarter from $310.523m during the year-ago period.
