Known for her provocative statements, she has been particularly outspoken in support of Palestinian rights during the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, including the recent war in Gaza and issues in her native Lebanon.
Her transition to activism has not been without controversy. In October, following her public statements after Hamas launched an attack on Israel, Playboy, a major U.S. adult entertainment company, severed ties with her.
