The Mera Ghar Mera Aashiana loan limit has been increased after approval by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb.

The ECC approved several changes to strengthen the scheme. These include expanding eligible housing size parameters and introducing a uniform 5% end-user pricing.
The committee also decided to adjust already disbursed loans to the revised 5% rate. This move ensures uniformity across beneficiaries.

Implementation will continue through the State Bank of Pakistan mechanism. Subsidy payments will align with actual disbursements and remain within annual fiscal allocations.
Officials informed the committee that the scheme has received strong public response since its launch. More than 10,594 loan applications have been submitted, and disbursements are ongoing.
The revised features aim to expand access to affordable housing finance. Authorities expect the initiative to stimulate construction activity, generate employment and promote sustainable home ownership.
The government also approved a Technical Supplementary Grant of Rs7.289 million for the ICT component of a project focused on enhancing command areas in rain-fed regions.
