Hosts Netherlands defeated South Korea while Germany was defeated by Argentina in the Field Hockey World Cup at The Hague. Netherlands beat South Korea 2-1 in their match yesterday. South Korea’s Hyunwoo Nam put his side in the lead in the 5th minute but two goals from Jeroen Hertzberger and Robbert Kemperman helped the hosts record the win.
Germany suffered a shock defeat from the hands of Argentina. Manuel Brunet scored the first and only goal in the 31st minute. The South American side did some brilliant defending and held on to their lead.
Meanwhile, New Zealand thrashed South Africa 5-0 in their match.
