Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-S (JUI-S) Chief Maulana Sami ul Haq termed Taliban as his childern.
Addressing Ulema and Madaris Protection Convention in Lahore on Sunday, he said, “Taliban are my children. We are proud of Taliban. They are fighting for freedom of their country.”
Defending his stance he said they first disintegrated Soviet Union and then gave the United States a tough time.
The JUI chief and Difa-e-Pakistan Council leader also said when people rejected Taliban, he owned them.
This surprising statement has come at a time when the Supreme Court (SC) has issued charge sheet against Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan saying that his ministry was working without a clear leadership and vision.

An interior ministry statement today said that the meeting with Difa-e-Pakistan Council members was not held on Nisar’s wish, but was desired by religious leaders.
