Taliban’s chief interlocutor Maulana Sami-ul-Haq Friday urged the government and TTP to take advantage of the dialogue process to restore peace in the country.
“We have got the talks going. It is now responsibility of the government and Taliban to make use of this opportunity,” Haq said, while addressing a press conference at Akora Khattak.
He said that members of the negotiation committee were warmly greeted in North Waziristan by the Taliban.
“We will meet the new government committee tomorrow or a day after. Time has come to hold a direct meeting between Taliban and government’s committees,” he said.
