Mishaal Yusufzai, advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, and a member of Imran Khan’s legal team, is being criticized on social media for unauthorized disclosure of journalists’ WhatsApp communications and contact information.
The controversy unfolds amidst heightened scrutiny over reports indicating an attempt to acquire a Toyota Fortuner, valued at over 1.7 crore PKR, despite a recent ban imposed by the Department of Finance on new vehicle procurements.
Amidst the social media storm, Yusufzai attempted to clarify her position but escalated the situation by accusing journalist Nadia Saboohi of soliciting bribes, claiming that she demanded monthly payments.

Yusufzai alleged that her refusal led to a targeted smear campaign against her, asserting, “This is Imran Khan’s government; envelopes don’t work here.” The situation deteriorated when Yusufzai leaked Saboohi’s phone number online, leading to widespread criticism and calls for action against her.
The social media backlash has been strong, with notable figures like Kamran Ali criticizing Yusufzai’s actions.
The Peshawar Press Club has demanded that Chief Minister Gandapur and the PTI leadership take disciplinary measures. Furthermore, a meeting was convened today to discuss the possibility of boycotting coverage of the provincial government and PTI due to these incidents.
