Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif recently launched the “Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme,” designed to support small and medium enterprises and stimulate economic growth within the province.
At the ceremony in Lahore, she also unveiled the “Asaan Karobar Finance Card,” which provides interest-free loans of up to 30 million rupees.
The Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme offers interest-free loans ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 3 crore, repayable in convenient instalments. Chief Minister Sharif encouraged young entrepreneurs to leverage these schemes to grow their businesses and contribute to the province’s economic development.
Loans from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh are available through the Asaan Karobar Card. Interested parties can apply online starting today. More details about the scheme are available via helpline 1786.
Additional Benefits of the Asaan Karobar Finance Scheme
The scheme extends beyond loans, offering land at subsidized rates for new business ventures. It also provides loans up to Rs 3 crore on a 100 percent interest-free basis. The Punjab government has waived traditional prerequisites like NOCs, licenses, or approved maps for loan eligibility.
The initiative simplifies starting a business. Applicants can secure a loan one day and begin operations the next. The Bank of Punjab will administer these interest-free loans.
Entrepreneurs planning to establish industries in export processing zones can receive solar systems worth Rs 50 lakh free of charge, further reducing startup costs.
