Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senior Vice President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz declared assets valued at over Rs840.89 million when submitting her nomination papers on Tuesday.
Maryam’s educational background includes an MA in English Literature, as revealed in her nomination papers.
Maryam owes over Rs20.89 million to her brother, Hasan Nawaz, and her husband, Captain Safdar, owes Rs60 million to friends.
According to her nomination papers, Maryam owns over 1,400 kanals of land in the Raiwind area and has no foreign property.
Maryam’s agricultural income is reported to be over Rs10.90 million within three years, and she has paid more than Rs1.2 million in income tax on her agricultural land during that period.
In addition, she has invested in shares of various companies, including over Rs5.469 million in Hudabiya Paper Mills, Rs4.821 million in Muhammad Bakhsh Textile Mills, Rs1.6 million in Hamza Spinning Mills, and Rs90,000 in Junaid Poultry Farms.
The documents also reveal that Maryam does not own a vehicle and has more than Rs7.8 million in her bank accounts.
