Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz once again wore a police uniform and attended the passing-out parade of the province’s Elite Force.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders and Punjab IGP Usman Anwar were also present at the ceremony.
Addressing the passing-out parade, CM Maryam wore the Elite Force uniform. She stated, “17,000 officers of the Elite Force are offering their services with unwavering commitment. It is a great responsibility to be part of the Elite Force. I am very happy to participate in this event.”
“This is not just a uniform; it represents national service performed by a few fortunate individuals. Insha’Allah, we will soon remove the stains placed on the police. I am one of you; I also wear your uniform. All the young officers have completed a rigorous six-month elite course.”
“The credit goes to Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif for organizing the Elite Force,” CM Maryam added.
Late last month, Maryam Nawaz caused quite a stir by attending a passing-out ceremony for women constables and traffic assistants in a Punjab police uniform. Her appearance in the uniform drew significant attention and sparked discussions across various media platforms.
It is noteworthy that Maryam Nawaz is Pakistan’s first woman chief minister. She was sworn in on February 26, marking a historic milestone in the country’s political landscape.
