Tamir Rasool Morris has found himself embroiled in legal trouble after a peculiar incident where he falsely claimed to be Massai Dorsey II, the son of actress Nia Long.
TMZ reported the bizarre situation unfolded in Santa Monica when Morris assaulted an individual in a park using a tent pole.
In a bid to evade arrest, Morris attempted to deceive the police by claiming he was Nia Long’s 23-year-old son. His knowledge of Massai’s birth date partially convinced the authorities, but a slip-up on the birth year eventually led to his real identity being uncovered during booking and fingerprinting.
Morris, who possibly gleaned information about Massai from social media, is now in jail with a bail set at $30,000. He faces serious charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and false impersonation. The authorities have clarified that the real Massai Dorsey II was not involved in the incident and was impersonated without his consent.
In a different context, Nia Long recently opened up about her broken engagement with Ime Udoka, head coach of the Houston Rockets. In an interview, Long reflected on the breakup, sharing her journey towards self-affirmation and emphasizing the significance of self-love over trying to salvage a relationship. This personal revelation underscores her resilience amidst challenging times, including the unwarranted use of her son’s identity in the tent pole assault incident.
