The Lahore NA-122 constituency witnessed a remarkable shift in political dynamics as PTI-backed independent candidate Sardar Latif Khosa clinched victory over the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s seasoned politician, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, according to unofficial results. This outcome represents a significant upset in a race that garnered extensive attention, reflecting a possible realignment within the electorate.

Election Results and Responses

Unofficial tallies indicate that Sardar Latif Khosa achieved a notable lead with 117,109 votes, significantly ahead of Khawaja Saad Rafiq’s 77,709 votes. This substantial difference underscores the surprising nature of the election results and suggests a pivotal change in the constituency’s political preferences. Following the announcement of the results, Khawaja Saad Rafiq extended his congratulations to Sardar Latif Khosa on social media.

— Khawaja Saad Rafique (@KhSaad_Rafique) February 9, 2024

Demonstrating political maturity, Rafiq accepted the voters’ decision, expressing hope for the newly elected parliament’s unity and success in addressing the nation’s challenges.
