In a tragic incident in North Waziristan district’s Miran Shah area, Major Amir Aziz and Sepoy Muhammad Arif made the ultimate sacrifice for their nation, falling in the line of duty during a fierce confrontation with terrorists.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) provided details on the operation, explaining that based on credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the Miran Shah vicinity, security forces swiftly acted. Leading the operation, Major Amir Aziz took the initiative to engage a group of terrorists. Their efforts were not in vain, as one terrorist met his end, and another was gravely wounded during the ensuing gunfight.
Tragically, this success came at a cost. Major Amir Aziz, a brave 29-year-old from the Sargodha District, and Sepoy Muhammad Arif, a valiant 27-year-old from the Sahiwal District, lost their lives, exemplifying unmatched courage and dedication to their homeland.
A thorough sanitisation of the area was initiated to ensure that no remnants of the terror group remained.
These sacrifices emphasize the determination of Pakistan’s security forces in their ongoing mission to eradicate terrorism from their soil, reinforcing their unwavering commitment.
Earlier that day, another courageous soul, Havildar Muntazir Shah, 36, from the Swabi district, was lost during a skirmish with terrorists in the Tirah valley of the Khyber district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As reported by the ISPR, the clash occurred on the night between August 31 and September 1.
Despite the loss, the security forces’ determination shone through as they neutralised one of the terrorists. This terrorist had a notorious track record involving various acts against security forces and the ruthless killing of innocent civilians, as confirmed by the military’s media communication.
