On August 25, Lil Nas X appeared in court and denied the charges against him. His lawyer, O’Connor, described the incident as “an absolute aberration” in Lil Nas X’s life. The judge ordered him to attend four weekly Narcotics Anonymous meetings and issued a no-contact order with the officer involved. Released on bail, the rapper is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on September 15. If convicted, he could face penalties of up to seven years in prison.
