Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned Inspector General Punjab over the petition filed against the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, closure of petrol pumps and the barriers placed across the city.
The petition was heard in LHC on Tuesday (today). The court ordered IG Punjab to clarify why PTI workers are being arrested by law enforcement agencies.
Additional Inspector General (AIG) Operations, during the hearing, told the court that barriers are placed across the city for the security of PTI and PAT leaders Imran Khan and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri in order to protect them and their supporters from terrorist activities.
