A full bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) has been constituted to hear a petition seeking restraining order against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned ‘Azadi March’.
Justice Khalid Mehmood Khan, Justice Shahid Hameed and Justice Anwar would hear the petition.
A local resident had filed a petition in the high court, contending that the ‘Azadi March’ announced by Pakistan Tehreek e Insafs’ (PTI) is against the constitution. The petitioner further stated that the elections could only be challenged before the tribunals mandated specifically for the purpose by the constitution.
The PTI chief Imran Khan stands committed to hold ‘Azadi March’ scheduled for August 14, demanding fresh elections.
