Senior PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday said that local government elections were being conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Addressing a massive gathering at Mianwali, Qureshi said that Imran Khan had raised his voice against the VIP culture.
“Mianwali is incomplete with Imran Khan. Mianwali is the identity of Imran Khan,” he said. “The wind of change is blowing.”
Khan questioned why Sharif family was so upset over ‘Go Nawaz Go’ chant, which was a mere political slogan.
He lamented that farmers were not getting proper rates from the government. “We have to raise our farmers first. They are facing economic victimization.” Electricity bills have broken the back of farmers.
He apologized to the people of Mianwalai for not giving them proper attention. “I am fighting your case across Pakistan.”
“We will bring the best local government system. We will bring a system, which would deliver justice people at their doorsteps.”
The PTI chief said that it was not the job of MNAs and MPAs to get development funds. “Funds should be given under local government system.”
Khan further said that he was bringing a uniform education system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“It is democracy, not monarchy,” he said, referring to Maryam Nawaz message, in which she posted: “Seems PMLN workers have had enough of PTI vandalism. A tit for tat response & PTI won’t find a place to hide. Saw trailer in Wazirabad today.
