Renowned rapper, Cardi B, was reportedly accused of battery, following an event at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas. According to Variety, the incident transpired on July 29 when Cardi B threw a microphone from the stage that hit a fan. The incident was reported to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
The Las Vegas Metro PD released a statement outlining that an individual lodged a battery complaint at one of their stations on July 30, 2023. The victim claimed to have been hit by an object hurled from the stage while attending a concert the previous day on the Las Vegas Boulevard.
What led to the microphone being thrown remains uncertain. Cardi B reacted after a fan splashed water on her face. Whether the same person was at the receiving end of the microphone throw is yet to be confirmed. After the incident, a woman was ejected from the venue, and the concert came to a halt.
Cardi B’s Stand and Focus on Husband, Offset
While the incident with the fan caused quite a stir, Cardi B remains unrepentant, insisting that the fan was at fault. She appeared to be more concerned about her husband, Offset, and his risky behavior.
Cardi B retweeted a video showing Offset, a member of the Migos rap group, balancing on the edge of a balcony, expressing her worry about his daring act. Prior to this, she had retweeted the video capturing her throwing the microphone, seemingly indifferent about the negative repercussions.
As no arrests or charges have been made regarding the battery incident, Cardi B appears to be unperturbed by the possibility of legal implications. Offset, on the other hand, has been candid about their relationship.
Offset recently retracted allegations made on Instagram where he accused Cardi B of infidelity. He claimed that his accusations were unfounded and blamed tequila for his impulsive post. During an interview with Angela Yee, Offset clarified the situation, implying that the deletion of the incriminating Instagram post was his way of withdrawing the unfounded allegation.
